Angela Williams
Angela joined Meridian Radio in October 2008. She is, however, no stranger to radio. For two years she was a volunteer, presenter and committee member of Channel One Hospital Radio at the Royal Gwent in Newport.
Angela's taste in music is eclectic and amongst her favourites are Level 42, Kate Bush, Talk Talk, Stevie Wonder and Air. That said, her idea of hell would be Desert Island Discs as she couldn't possibly choose just eight songs!
2008 was a big year for gigs. She was unexpectedly "blown away" by the Stranglers at Hyde park calling, although the highlight of the year was meeting Mark King and getting a hug to boot!
She is also a huge fan of comedy. Her current favourites are Sarah Milican (a cross between Mrs Merton and Roy Chubby Brown) and Peter Serafinowicz.
When she is not going to comedy and music gigs Angela likes to relax by swimming, cooking, reading or watching TV - most likely comedy such as Harry Hill, QI or Frasier.
Listeners can expect a mix of old and new music with some fun cover versions and theme tunes thrown in for good measure. Her Groovy Tuesday show started in February 2009.
