Derek Scott

A LONG TIME AGO…. In a hospital not far away Derek broadcast to the patients of St Nicholas Hospital, Plumstead on Radio St Nicks. It was whilst there that he introduced Alan King to the delights of broadcasting. Many years later in 2007 things turned full circle and Derek accepted Alan’s invitation to return to the air. Derek has also broadcast on hospital Radio in Hither Green (Park Radio), community radio (Radio Cabletown and Greenwich Sound) and a short stint on London Music Radio. He also made a couple of programmes for the TV service of Greenwich Cablevision.

After a long stint away from the Mic he can be heard utilising his life long early rising to present the Breakfast Show between 7 & 9 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Derek has a wide ranging taste in music (“as long as it’s good”) although his favourite decade is the 60s. He also lays claim to being the resident Beatles fanatic on the station
